HARLEQUIN PRESENTS INSTANT SEDUCTION WRITING COMPETITION

Well, I have been working on a Harlequin Presents book, because it has always been a line I've loved reading. I love Alpha heroes!

So when I learned about the HARLEQUIN PRESENTS INSTANT SEDUCTON WRITING COMPETITION, I had to give it a shot. I sent my first chapter of THE GAMBLER, a work still in progress, and I recently got word that I came in as first runner up - that would equal a second place of a 600 entry contest. Incredible!

The news came as a complete surprise and I am thrilled to have the opportunity to talk to a Harlequin editor about my writing. I will keep you updated on that!

I've also been invited to blog at the Harlequin blog which I'm honored to do, so I hope I'll get to say hi to all of you. :) Congratulations to Lynne, the winner, and Dani, and to everyone who entered. You are all stars!

COVER FOR SIX AND SEXY!!

I just got my first cover, it's beautiful!!!

The talented Anne Cain really captured the haunting, beautiful darkness of the story.

Blurb, Six and Sexy, from Samhain Publishing March 25/08

Death has never been so tempting.

As a reaper, Six is a right hand to Death herself. It’s his job to end a cycle so a new one can begin. Now the feared Lady has given him a new assignment…and reaping has never been more difficult. His beautiful new target calls to him, not as a reaper, but as a man. But no one’s ever defied Death before, and Six must stay focused on the task-to kill Shelby Morrison-before another reaper gets to her first.

At first, Shelby thinks she dreamed up the dark, handsome stranger who’s following her. Yet slowly she realizes he’s very real-and so are the sparks between them. Though the only thing she knows about him is his name, Six is too sexy to resist. She aches for his touch.
And no one’s ever died from a few little kisses…

BRAVA NOVELLA CONTEST FINALIST!

I just learned my entry, Unexpectedly Expecting, is a finalist in the Brava Novella contest!! This is so unexpected I'm still a bit shocked.

Here's the entry if you want to read . . . the voting will commence in a week or two, I believe.

Now I'm revising the book for the hundredth time to be able to send it out as soon as possible. Just to be read by Kate Duffy - and to final in this amazing contest that has launched so many amazing publishing careers is such an honor. Congratulations to everyone who participated and to all the other finalists too. I'm in fabulous company among you all!

Hugs

First sale - Samhain contract

I have cause for celebration today. I just heard back from Samhain Publishing on a submission I sent 2 months ago titled Six and Sexy and they just offered me a contract!

I'll be working with Heidi Moore on this story and would be looking at a release date around spring 2008. I'm extremely excited with the opportunity to work with this fantastic editor and publishing house.

I'll be sure to keep you posted. In the meantime I'll be working on the website, getting it as pretty as possible, and waiting to hear if my Brava entry finaled or not. Toes and fingers crossed.
